The pool is heated seasonally. In Autumn and Spring the solar heating is turned on and in Winter the heater pump in turned on keeping the water temperature around 25 – 27° all year round. The spa is heated at 32° all year round.

Every apartment has it’s own car park in the lock up garage.  Some of the 3 bedroom apartments have tandem parking spots. For any additional cars, there is a visitors car park, alternatively there is free street parking.

The garage entrance height is 2.1m. If you are unable to fit there is a visitors car park under security cameras. Alternatively there is free street parking.

There is no town center of Hervey Bay, it is 5 small fishing villages that have grown together to make Hervey Bay. It is a 12 minute drive to the main shopping center Stockland from Akama. 

Woolworths at Urangan Centre is 2km from Akama. There is also a chemist, butcher, baker, bottle-o and news agencies in Urangan Centre. 

Akama Resort is located in Urangan a street back from the Marina. 

There is a lift from basement to all levels. 
If you are uncomfortable with lifts then there is also stairs that will get you to every level. 

Akama Resort has a strict no party policy, parties can not be hosted in the apartments or common areas. We ask all guests that are not staying to be gone by 10pm and to keep the balcony doors closed from 10pm to minimise noise.  If you are caught parting or breaking resorts rules, you will be asked to leave without refund. A minimum fee of $150 for a call out of noise complaints.  

There is no smoking allowed in the apartment. Smoking is allowed outside on the balcony with all the doors shut.

Sorry, no pets are permitted on premises.

In the event of a guide dog, assistance or support animal, please let us know at the time of booking. Please also bring the required papers, so we can have it file. There will also be a $500 deposit for security over the apartment in case of any damage or any extra cleaning that will be needed.
